What LegitCheck AI is
An app and a website that check whether an item is authentic from your own photographs. You shoot the item from several angles and get a verdict with a confidence score and a sign-by-sign breakdown in about a minute.
How a check works
- You photograph the item, up to five angles. Daylight, no glare, sharp focus.
- The model inspects the signs replicas usually get wrong: stitching, fonts, hardware, tags, serial numbers.
- You get a verdict on a five-step scale, a confidence score, and a list of what was checked and what looked wrong.
What is covered
Eleven categories: sneakers, luxury handbags, watches, luxury clothing, luxury shoes, accessories, streetwear, toys and figures, trading cards, cosmetics and vintage t-shirts. More than 300 brands. The app runs in 20 languages.

What LegitCheck AI does not do

- There is no human authenticator in the loop: sophisticated superfakes may come back as inconclusive.
- We judge from photographs – weight, smell, sound and the click of hardware are not part of the check.

Accuracy depends on the category, the quality of the photos and the grade of the counterfeit: on crude replicas the verdict is confident, while on expensive superfakes the check may honestly return inconclusive rather than guess. It is a probability estimate from photographs, not an appraisal.
